Hello, we are Hamish & Pip.
Having spent over two decades in the hospitality and drinks industry between us, and sharing a keen passion for all things tasty on the food and drinks front, we dared to dream about having our own place one day.
Our journey started in lockdown when we had a lot of time on our hands and a shed that was full of alcohol. We set about creating a delicious range of bottled cocktails and delivered them across Windsor and nationwide.
From this, we often discussed how we envisaged our own bar: a place where hospitality comes first; a local neighbourhood bar, a community hub serving both visitors and Windsor residents. But we knew the building and timing had to be right.
After a few years of searching, we had to opportunity to take on the 'Crooked House' and to say we jumped in feet first was an understatement.
Our doors opened on the Coronation Weekend - 24 hours after we got the keys - fuelled by coffee and negronis, we made it through what is still one of our busiest weekends yet. Since then, we have grown, learnt a lot, tweaked many things and listened to our guests feedback - we continue to learn and grow and are so excited for the chapters still to come at The Shambles Bar.
